NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar, amid talks of a split in Opposition unity ahead of local body polls in Maharashtra, said the I.N.D.I.A bloc was formed for national issues and elections. "There was no discussion about local body polls or state polls," he stated. Notably, Shiv Sena (UBT) has announced that it will contest local elections alone.
