SEBI has released a consultation paper for launching a small ticket SIP worth ₹250, lower than the current minimum limit of ₹500. Under the proposal, an investor will be restricted to investing in three such SIPs, one each in up to 3 asset management companies. SEBI proposed that ₹250 SIPs could be offered under the 'Growth' option of the plan.
