AIIMS Delhi has developed an AI-based software that can screen for glaucoma by analysing a single photograph of the eye. Glaucoma, often called the "silent thief of sight", damages the optic nerve and can lead to irreversible blindness if undetected. The tool is designed to identify suspected cases early and refer patients for timely medical evaluation.
