NASA has classified the 2024 Boeing Starliner mission as a 'Type A mishap', a category reserved for incidents involving over $2 million in damage, loss of a vehicle or fatalities. The mission left astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore stranded in space for nine months.
