India and Nepal reviewed their bilateral ties and launched a mechanism for cross-border remittances during talks between External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Nepal's Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal in New Delhi. The two sides discussed cooperation in development, trade, energy, and people-to-people ties. They launched a UPI-NPI peer-to-peer linkage to enable easier cross-border payments.
