Access to internet is fundamental right, even for children: Supreme Court

Supreme Court held that "right to access and use internet is a fundamental right". "Our children, irrespective of their age, enjoy the same rights," it said, adding that denying access would be "absurd" and would mean they don't have "freedom of speech worth expressing". Court rejected blanket restrictions on children's internet access, while leaving scope for proportionate age-based safeguards.
