Indian refiners await govt's nod to buy Iranian oil as US lifts sanctions: Report

Indian refiners are waiting for clear instructions from the government to resume purchasing Iranian oil after the US's 30-day sanctions waiver for cargoes loaded by March 20, Reuters reported. Once a top supplier, India stopped purchasing crude oil from Iran in 2019. Earlier, Indian refiners were reported to have bought 30 million barrels of Russian oil after a similar waiver.
