Eminent Hindi writer and Jnanpith Award recipient Vinod Kumar Shukla passed away at the age of 88 on Tuesday due to multiple organ infections. He was awarded the 59th Jnanpith Award in 2025 for his contributions to Hindi literature and was the first person from Chhattisgarh to receive the award. He was known for his book, 'Naukar Ki Kameej'.
