Forty-seven cadres of the banned CPI (Maoist), led by a senior member of Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee (DKSZC), surrendered in Hyderabad on Saturday, handing over 32 weapons, including a light machine gun. Earlier this month, 42 other cadres had laid down arms. With the 260 surrenders so far this year, armed CPI (Maoist) faction is now almost defunct, officials said.
