Costa Rican Foreign Minister fired for attending Trump's meeting without telling Prez

Costa Rican President Laura Fernández fired Foreign Minister Manuel Tovar after he attended a meeting of US President Donald Trump's anti-cartel “Shield of the Americas” alliance without informing her. Fernández said she should have attended the meeting and accused Tovar of causing “great strategic damage” by failing to consult her. The alliance aims to combat drug trafficking and organised crime.
