The Union Cabinet, headed by PM Narendra Modi, approved a Bill to provide stricter punishment for paper leaks. Those involved in paper leaks would now face punishment of up to 10 years and a fine of up to ₹10 crore, reports said. Investigations and trials in such cases would have to be completed within three months under the proposed changes.
