Curaçao, the smallest ever nation at FIFA World Cup, is a small island in the southern Caribbean Sea, about 65 km north of Venezuela and around 80 km from Aruba. Part of the Dutch Caribbean, it covers 444 sq km and has Willemstad as its capital. The island, home to around 158,000 people, lies about 1,900 km from US' Miami.
