Merge Labs is a startup backed by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, which has come out of stealth with a $252 million seed round. The startup describes itself as a research lab that aims to make brain-computer interfaces less invasive. "We're developing...new technologies that connect with neurons using molecules instead of electrodes...and avoid implants into brain tissue," the startup said.
