WikiLeaks' Assange pleads guilty to releasing US military secrets, avoids jail

WikiLeaks Founder Julian Assange pleaded guilty to a felony charge for publishing US military secrets as part of a deal with the Justice Department to secure his freedom. A court in the Northern Mariana Islands pronounced him a "free man" after he pleaded guilty. Assange avoided jail as he got credit for spending five years in a UK jail.
