Vitamin B2 may help cancer cells survive: Study

Scientists found vitamin B2 may help cancer cells survive by protecting them from ferroptosis, a form of programmed cell death linked to cancer suppression. Using genome editing and cancer cell models, they found cells became vulnerable when vitamin B2 metabolism was blocked. They also found Roseoflavin, a vitamin B2-like compound, successfully triggered ferroptosis in laboratory cancer models.
