Srinagar MP Ruhullah Mehdi to quit NC, Lok Sabha seat on Nov 3

Srinagar MP Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi announced he will resign from the National Conference and his Lok Sabha seat on November 3, citing the party's failure to fulfil poll promises including restoration of Article 370 and release of prisoners. He denied involvement in any 'horse-trading', calling his stand principled. JKNC minister Javed Rana said the party would be unaffected.
