Lionel Messi, who recently retired from international football, has been called up by Argentina for a farewell appearance against Benin on October 6 in Buenos Aires. Argentine Football Association (AFA) President Claudio Tapia described the occasion as the 39-year-old's "last tango". Argentina's 2022 World Cup-winning players and their families have also been invited to join the farewell.
