Landlords must inform police about foreign tenants: Karnataka HC

Karnataka High Court has directed landlords renting to foreigners to inform local police and collect tenant details including passport copies, visa period, and workplace info. Refusing to quash an FIR against a Bengaluru landlord housing 12 visa-overstaying African nationals, Justice Srishananda said overstaying foreigners linked to drug networks wage an indirect war against India.
