Bangladeshi government removed a portrait of the country's first President and founding father Sheikh Mujibur Rahman from President's official residence and workplace. Notably, Bangladesh's constitution mandates that the portrait of Mujibur shall be displayed at all government institutions. Earlier, government also cancelled eight national holidays, including Mujibur's birth and death anniversary.
