Kashmir GI testing surges to 170 products/day in 2026-27

Kashmir's Pashmina Testing and Quality Certification Centre (PTQCC) has seen GI testing surge from 40-45 tests/day in 2024-25 to 170/day in 2026-27. Annual tests are expected to reach 42,000 this fiscal year. New equipment including a Scanning Electron Microscope and an online appointment system are being added to meet rising demand.
