Uttar Pradesh bans political ideology as govt job disqualification ground

Uttar Pradesh has issued new verification guidelines stating political ideology alone cannot disqualify candidates from government jobs. However, those linked to organisations that aim to violently alter the established social order remain ineligible. Serious offences like murder, rape, and exam paper leaks lead to permanent disqualification. The policy supersedes orders dating back to 1958.
