Girdhari Lal Sahu, the husband of BJP's Women and Child Welfare Minister in Uttarakhand Rekha Arya, has been criticised after he said that "Bihar girls are available for marriage for ₹20,000 to ₹25,000". The BJP's state unit condemned the statement and tried to distance itself from Sahu. "If my words have offended anyone, I apologise with folded hands," Sahu said.
