Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann "strongly condemned" the attack on ex-Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) chief Sukhbir Singh Badal at Amritsar's Golden Temple. "Due to the alertness of Punjab Police personnel, a big incident was averted...We will not allow such conspiracies which aim to defame the state to be successful," Mann added. Badal survived the attack, while the accused has been arrested.
