Jaishankar meets Rubio at UNGA, raises concern over Russian sanctions act

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met US Secretary of State Marco Rubio at UNGA and raised India's concerns over the Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026. The bill would allow the US to impose tariffs of up to 100% on imports from the top five buyers of Russian oil and gas, a group that currently includes India.
