After-meal blood sugar spike may raise Alzheimer's risk: Study

Research by University of Liverpool found that individuals with higher blood sugar levels after meals had a 69% higher risk of developing Alzheimer's disease. The research conducted among over 3,50,000 people aged 40-69 used Mendelian randomisation, a genetic method that assesses link between biological traits and disease risk. However, researchers couldn't detect visible brain damage.
