India's LPG consumption slipped to its lowest in more than five years as Middle East tensions disrupted supplies, The Hindu Business Line reported. India’s LPG usage during May 2026 declined by 19% year-on-year to 2.12 million tonnes on a provisional basis, as per PPAC. India imports about 60% of its LPG requirements, much of it via the Strait of Hormuz.
