A scuffle broke out between BJP and TMC workers during the nomination filing of BJP MLA and Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari from Bhabanipur constituency on Thursday. West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee is also contesting the Assembly elections from the Bhabanipur seat. Adhikari also filed a nomination earlier from the Nandigram constituency.
