Scented cleaning products create invisible air pollution: Study

Surface cleaners' fragrances react with indoor ozone to form nanoparticles at levels rivalling those of city traffic, a study found. "Importantly, cleaning removes viruses and bacteria from surfaces, but it can also generate invisible air pollution," a researcher said. "By the time you finish cleaning an indoor space, you've already formed a lot of nanoparticles and inhaled them," he added.
