India may ban internet-connected CCTV cameras made by Chinese firms from April 1 as it implements stricter certification requirements to reduce dependence on foreign technology. This reportedly comes amid concerns that such devices can be used to spy on sensitive locations, cause data breaches and perform cyberattacks. The new rules will make it mandatory to disclose source of key parts.
