The US government has started refunding more than $166 billion collected through tariffs. According to the Global Trade Research Initiative (GTRI), about $12 billion of this is linked to goods from India. However, GTRI said that Indian exporters cannot directly claim these refunds and would instead need to negotiate with US buyers for a share.
