Lung cancer cases to rise sharply in India by 2030: Study

According to a study published in Indian Journal of Medical Research, lung cancer cases in India are projected to rise sharply by 2030. The North-East is emerging as the worst-affected region, with women recording the fastest increase. While tobacco use remains a key driver, doctors say cases are increasingly linked to indoor air pollution, biomass fuel use and second-hand smoke.
