Benchmark index Sensex crashed more than 1,000 points to trade at 77,186.93 around noon on Wednesday. Nifty also declined over 1% to trade at around 24,011.10. Both indices had ended in the green a day earlier. The latest dip comes amid sustained selling by foreign institutional investors and continuing tensions in the Middle East.
