Google takes stake in 'Eve Online' maker to test AI agents

CCP Games, the studio behind massively multiplayer online role-playing game Eve Online, has rebranded as Fenris Creations. Google DeepMind has taken a minority stake in the studio to test AI agents in the game's environment. As part of the change, CCP bought itself back from Pearl Abyss for $120 million after being acquired by the South Korean company in 2018.
