Days after OpenAI disclosed that its unnamed AI model had hacked rival tech firm Hugging Face without being asked, Anthropic revealed that Claude also hacked three companies. Claude accessed the internet via a third-party evaluation partner to access the production infrastructure of the three different organisations. It executed the hack using basic techniques, like exploiting weak passwords.
