Move to office: Uber to remote employees amid 3,300 staff lay off
Uber asked remote employees working from home to "move to an office", in the memo announcing around 3,300 layoffs as part of its restructuring to reduce management layers. Employees working from home permanently will reportedly be limited to 1% of the workforce. Uber reportedly said managers will be placed with their teams and will ensure early-career employees don't sit alone.
