India to witness hotter September

The India Meteorological Department has said that India is likely to experience below-normal rainfall in September. The IMD also expects above-normal maximum temperatures and above-normal minimum temperatures over most parts of the country in September. This comes as India recorded its warmest August since 1901, with the mean temperature reaching 28°C, nearly 0.67°C above the long-period average.
