Delhi government cancels 1.79 lakh ration cards

Delhi government has cancelled over 1.79 lakh ration cards, resulting in nearly 7.45 lakh beneficiaries being removed from the Public Distribution System (PDS). Most cancellations were linked to households whose annual income exceeded the eligibility threshold of ₹1.20 lakh. More than 35,000 ration cards were cancelled after cardholders failed to collect foodgrains for 12 consecutive months.
