Leader of Opposition and DMK MLA Udhayanidhi Stalin said, "Sanatana dharma, which divides people, should be eradicated." He made the remark during the second session of newly elected Tamil Nadu Assembly. In 2023 as well, Udhayanidhi had said that "Sanatana dharma is like mosquitoes, dengue and malaria" and that it "has to be eradicated".
