A new study by Physical Research Laboratory (PRL) in Ahmedabad revealed that soil analysed by Chandrayaan-3’s Pragyan rover closely matches ALHA 81005, first meteorite confirmed to have originated from Moon. It was discovered in Antarctica in 1981-82. This is one of the pioneering scientific studies to directly connect Chandrayaan-3 APXS measurements with lunar meteorite records, ISRO said.
