Congress MP Akoijam calls JNU dismissal a political witch hunt

Congress MP Bimol Akoijam, dismissed by JNU on Oct 9 over sexual harassment allegations by 11 female students, has called the action a 'witch hunt' driven by BJP's political vendetta. He denied the charges, alleged procedural violations, and vowed to challenge the dismissal in court. Delhi Police have also registered an FIR against him.
