Pak leader mocks Munir, invokes Pak Army's 1971 surrender to India

Pakistan's JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman took a dig at Army Chief Asim Munir, recalling Pakistan's defeat in the 1971 war against India. He questioned the military's chest-thumping while the common public suffers. "In 1971, one day before laying down arms, General Yahya Khan...said, we'll fight in...streets, in deserts, in fields...We heard these big words then," he said.
