India's industry body Nasscom issues statement as Indian firms hit by green card crackdown

After the US government suspended several Indian IT firms from a programme that allows skilled foreign workers to get permanent residency, industry body Nasscom said, "Immigration and skilled talent mobility are two distinct issues that shouldn't be viewed through the same lens." Indian companies have reduced dependence on H-1B visa program. It said Indian companies comply with local laws.
