To curb corruption, TN hikes TASMAC liquor outlet staff salaries by 25%

CM Vijay-led Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday announced a 25% salary hike for employees at TASMAC outlets. The pay revision aims to curb the alleged corruption of staff collecting an extra ₹10 per bottle from customers. The government believes higher wages will help reduce corruption at TASMAC outlets, the state-run retail liquor chain operating across Tamil Nadu.
