The iconic Hōlei Sea Arch in Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park has collapsed into Pacific Ocean, 500 years after it was naturally formed. Famous among tourists, the arch stood at a height of roughly 90 feet. It was still standing on September 23 when the park closed during Tropical Storm Nolo but had disappeared by September 28 when it reopened.
