BJP MP Tejasvi Surya compared the bifurcation of undivided Andhra Pradesh into Andhra Pradesh and Telangana with India-Pakistan partition, saying the Congress-led UPA handled it worse than the British handled the partition. BRS Working President KT Rama Rao criticised him, saying his remarks reflect "sheer ignorance and arrogance" and demanded an apology. Surya made the remarks in Parliament.
