The cost of making veg thali at home in India increased by 20% year-over-year in October, while non-veg thali became 5% costlier, CRISIL said in its latest report. This comes as prices of vegetables surged due to incessant rainfall. Onions and potatoes became costlier by 46% and 51% respectively, while tomato prices doubled to ₹64/kg in October, the report added.
