In a U-turn, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Sunday suggested that the United States would not take a day-to-day role in governing Venezuela. He further said that the US would enforce an existing "oil quarantine" on Venezuela. On Saturday, US President Donald Trump said that his country would be running Venezuela following the ouster of leader Nicolas Maduro.
