OpenAI's board has not yet received a formal offer from an Elon Musk-led consortium, Reuters reported. However, on Tuesday, the group said it offered to buy the non-profit that controls OpenAI for $97.4 billion. Musk's lawyer said the offer was sent to OpenAI's outside counsel but whether OpenAI CEO Sam Altman disclosed it to the board is outside their control.
