President Droupadi Murmu, in her address on the eve of 76th Republic Day, said 'One Nation One Election' plan will promote consistency in governance and "prevent policy paralysis". She stated the plan will also mitigate resource diversion, and "reduce the financial burden". The central government had introduced 'One Nation One Election' bills last month in the Parliament.
