Spanish footballer Rafa Mir was sentenced to eight-and-a-half years in prison after a court found him guilty of sexual assault and causing injury to a woman. Mir was arrested in September 2024 for sexually assaulting a woman at his house, a claim the 28-year-old had denied. The victim was awarded compensation of €64,000 (around ₹70.2 lakh).
